  • This park is a beautiful state park in east Georgia. It has a beautiful lake, though it is not very deep. It is a great place to go camping, especially during the fall because of all of the leaves changing colors. There are a few fun hikes and lots of nature and wildlife to enjoy, especially during the spring! I would recommend this place and plan to spend a half to full day here or a couple of nights for cabin camping!
  • A regular on my list of hiking and camping. There is an amazing amount of things to do here. The cabins could use some maintenance but are overall safe. The site has lots and lots and LOTS of trails (both hiking and riding). The rental houses are also top quality. The staff and rangers are awesome and friendly. I've camped at several of the lake sides and loved the swimming. One of the best features is how close to stores it is meaning I can do a LOT and if I need something I can get it. The locals appreciate the site and have always been very welcoming.
  • A great place for tent or RV camping. We had a great time. Ask for a site numbers in the 20's. The spots further back on the road are near standing water and didn't seem as nice.
  • 26 miles of horse trails Mountain Bike trails 2 lakes a beach kayaks and a whole lot of peace and quiet. oh, but watch out for Jason Vorhees - part 6 was filmed at Lake Rutledge
  • Great bike trail. Well maintained trails, quiet, didn't see many other bikers on trails which was nice so I could move at my own pace. Blue trail is nice, but there is a 2.25 mile shortcut built into the trail.
