  • We enjoyed this golf course. The fairways and greens were in very good shape. There are a number of interesting holes here which offer challenge to the mid-handicap player. Would definitely play this ...  more »
  • This is a fun little course. I played it over Thanksgiving weekend. At $35 and being to enjoy mid 50s weather it was a welcomed break from the holiday grind. Club personnel and carts were nice. Relati...  more »

  • This was our fist time renting a cabin. We loved it!! The cabin was clean and comfortable, owners on site were friendly and attentive to anything that might distract from our stay. The location feels peaceful and secluded but it was within walking distance to midtown. I did not want to leave and will definitely go back.
  • This is our fourth time staying here and we love it! It's great for kids with the playground and creek onsite. You are super close to all the shops, which is also really nice. Our favorite part is waking up in the morning and seeing the deer right outside the cabins. The owners are great: very courteous and helpful! A must see if you have never been.
  • First time staying here. Cabins are very cozy, clean, and comfortable. In a great location. Absolutely loved it here. Our only issue with our stay here is no visting/unpaying guests allowed into your rental. Had some guests (2 adults, 3 children) stop by. Before leaving to a park and dinner we invited our guests inside for children to use the bathroom and chit chat. Not even 3 min later owner came to door and stated no guests allowed indoors as their cabins not equipped for large parties and could only visit outside down below. THAT was very disappointing to us. We stay all the time in Ruidoso and have never had this issue so long as our guest(s) were abiding by property rules and not staying overnight. Our usual spot we stay at was booked and only had large cabins left and so we opted to try a different location, Sierra Blanca cabins. We were embarrassed our guests heard the owner and were not comfortable staying outside on property. It dampened our comfort as well the rest of our stay, even though we were the paying visitor. I think it would be very helpful to folks if this peice of information (no visiting guests allowed at or in your cabin) was posted on their main page or booking page. Guzman family
  • Our stay was a complete pleasure. The cabin was clean, cozy and exactly as advertised (we stayed in Cabin 4). The owners were professional and ready to answer any questions or offer any help. The actual property is everything you could want and beautiful. We will be staying here again! A great weekend get away in a nice place.
  • Had a pleasant stay for one night while my boyfriend and I were exploring the trails in Ruidoso for our first time here. We were looking for a cabin and had called several others throughout the day, but no one had picked up the phone. Thankfully, the lovely couple that operate Sierra Blanca were very responsive and able to take our reservation--we've only stayed at one other cabin in town and I think Sierra Blanca is the best so far. The grounds are very lovely, well maintained, and there is no road noise despite being only about a minute or two from the main road. We've stayed in cabins all over the country and this is one of the most convenient, yet serene locations we have found in the Southwest so far. The cabins are nicely decorated, beds are comfortable and the kitchens have every appliance you will likely need if you are coming for a longer stay. There are some good restaurants in town (3-10 min drive for most places), so for a short stay, you don't really have to bring any groceries. Be prepared to bring your own toiletries, i.e. shower supplies like shampoo/conditioner and if you like tea or sugar/creamer in your coffee bring your own. There is a Starbucks pretty close, so if you're one who can't live without that latte before venturing into the mountains there's always that option! There are several trails within 10 min drive (e.g. Grindstone Lake trails--10+ miles of varied multi-use paths for bikers, hikers, and equestrians, and the Mescalero Fitness Trail--5k paved path next to the Inn of the Gods) if you aren't looking for backcountry, but if you do want to spend a day playing in the mountains you only have to drive 20-40 minutes to get some great mountain views and excellent backcountry trails. Fort Stanton, with 90 miles of lowland trails, is another great option if you are a trail runner, equestrian, or hiker, that's only about 10 miles away.
