  • Failed history of a bunch of British people who could not make it in the hills of Tennessee. Very boring. Poorly restored buildings and rude staff. High prices and long waits. Uncomfortable lodging and the worst food you could imagine. If you visit speak to those who own homes there and get the real story behind this tourist trap. Stay away from the cafe when the drunks are meeting.
  • Historic Rugby is based on a British Utopian society. Rugby offers many events to attend during the year. My favorite time is Christmas at Rugby. They have a newly remodeled Harrow Road Cafe which serves up many different foods. The cafe is wheelchair accessible. They also serve beer and wine. Spirit of Red Hill offers a gift shop to buy that one unique gift made by Rugby artists. Don't miss taking the Rugby tour where you will get to tour the library which is absolutely outstanding. It holds complete series that no other library has. With the tour you will also get to tour the church and the school. The folks in Rugby are very friendly and they are very passionate about their place. Rugby is a quaint little place that shouldn't be missed!
  • Rugby is a wonderful place. It feels like stepping back in time to a 19th century English village. The library is my favorite place there. I think that it is wonderful that the residents of Rugby take so much pride in preserving the town of Rugby the way it was originally intended. I also think the Harrow Road Cafe offers excellent food, beer, and wine at very reasonable prices.
  • A very quaint town with old restored Victorian houses and a Bed and Breakfast in town that I stayed in which I booked through the Welcome Center. The gentleman who reviewed the Town as a tourist trap is completely wrong. The cemetery holds a lot of the original settlers of the Town.
  • I have been visiting Rugby for over 5 years. The history of this Victorian village is fascinating and I always enjoy the tranquility when I go there. It truly is like going back in time. There are many fun events such as a British car show and a candlelight cemetery tour complete with modern day Rugbyans dressed up as residents of the cemetery and narrating their life stories. I recommend everyone visit Rugby to see if it's your cup of tea!
