  • Some of my best childhood memories are of being here. It reminds me of the amusement parks in the scooby doo cartoons. I higly recommend Lake Whinny.  more »
  • Took my grandson today and the workers were horrible. No patience with small kids. Did not help them get on or off the rides. My 2 year old grandson was on the dumbo ride the girl did not even bother ...  more »
  • Went just to the amusement park side with two younger kids and a teenager. The younger kids loved all the options for rides, the teenager was not super impressed but not bored. The rides are very date...  more »

  • It was a great experience! My boys loved it! A weekday visit has nearly no weight to ride rides or slides. It is neat to hear how it's part of American amusement park history. However the flags were hanging down with the stars on the right. All in all a great experience. Would go back and recommend to friends.
  • I grew up visiting here a bunch each summer and really enjoyed sharing this place with my son. It hasn't changed much but that was the best part and is the reason for lake winnie's charm. Don't go expecting six flags that's comparing apples to oranges in this case. The amusement park is vintage for sure but the water park still feels brand new (best of both worlds). Also the genie is out for service right now :(
  • This is a good park for children. It is better since they added the water area. I feel the price is way too much for what they offer. They have added a few new rides over the last several years, but in my opinion it is not enough for the price increases. It is way better to drive the extra way, or stop sooner if coming from the south, and go to Six Flags over Ga. There are usually coupons to make it nearly the same price. Lake Winnie is not bad, it is just very outdated for what it is. BTW, I live 1 mile from there and in the area my whole life. 😀
  • Three children ages 3, 6, and 8 (with me and my wife) went today. It is an older park but we all had a great time, and did not get to ride everything, but it has more rides for our 3 year old than expected, while more than entertaining the older ones. My wife and I also enjoyed the bigger rides and we all loved the water park. Side note: for those who cannot walk long distance there is a train that runs regularly that takes you from the main amusement part to the main "water" part. We enjoyed it thoroughly!
  • I attended Lake Winnepesaukah today, while I was there the entire experience was terrible. I have attended with my family multiple times before but this was not the same. When first getting to the park we were told it will be $140 to enter the park for 4 people meanwhile online it said it would only be $27 for each person. So there was a totally different story in the entrance there was someone with us that was over the age of 55 and was not offered the senior discount even though we asked for all types of discounts. Once inside the park while it was sunny and very very hot there were barely any rides open almost every ride was closed. As walking through the park we came to the realization that more rides were closed . As the only adult with the group asked where where you could go to file a complaint she was told. As approaching the customer service desk there was a man in front of us who was having a similar problem as to what we were having he was asking for some type of compensation for his terrible time at the park and he was not able to be compensated with. As the adult with our group got to the customer service counter there was a young lady who seem to want to help and asked another older lady who happened to be the manager to come back and when she did the adult of our group tried to explain how we paid for unlimited rides and only was able to ride about four rides. The problem was that the money was coming from young children which they have worked very hard for. The lady was not understanding at all she was very rude and had an attitude and was not trying to hear where the adult of our group was coming from. There were three other women at the customer service desk that was also listening along and all of them were rude and also have the same tone as the older lady. The older lady claimed to be the manager named Adrianne which she smelled of alcohol and cigarettes told us to stay around and as we did for another 30 minutes like we were told the rides would be opened they presumed not to be open after the time waited out . They were rude and we're telling us we have should have checked the weather and other such things when we really just wanted to be compensated for our time at the park when young children had spent their money and we're not satisfied with what they received. After the adult of our party was finished talking with the lady she asked a couple more questions and there was a heavyset lady who slammed the sliding door in her face. Lake Winnie claims to have great customer service and great ride and not overpriced things but we did not experience that this time around it was very very disappointing and not good customer service they need to do a overhaul.
