  • It reeks of feces & is covered in slime. The water quality is murky at best. It's full of naked hippies, if that's your thing. It was closed for some time due to high levels of ecoli. Too bad, it coul...  more »
  • Beautiful and natural place. The Road to this place is of not very good quality (about 2 miles). Same people may be naked.  more »
  • My husband and I enjoyed hiking to the Hot Springs and choosing our own private one overlooking the Umpqua River. I can't wait to go back, but not a place for the kids.  more »

  • Would be beautiful, but hippies have trashed the place with garbage and graffiti down the entire trail. They even graffitied the rocks and dirt...definitely takes away from the serenity of the place. Used to be amazing...now it's just kind of gross...
  • The hot springs are beautiful and unique. Don't be surprised if you see nude people/hippies in the hot springs. It happens..often. Also, please don't be one of those couples that is nude in one of the hot springs and has that look of shock while you scramble to cover yourselves. You are visiting a public park. You did not rent the place for yourselves. Other people will show up at some point. Lastly, The hike is very short, the rest is a drive. Don't be a dirty sweaty person expecting to use the hot spring like a bath tub. Keep in mind the water flows down from the upper pools to the lower pools...you know, gravity. So, if someone in the upper pool is dirty and decided this is the best spot to clean off that water travels down to the other pools. Keep that in mind when picking which pool you want to be in....
  • Great hot springs, and a nice hike to get there. There will be nudity here, so keep that in mind if you have kids or are a prude :)
  • Beautiful hot spring. Please help keep it that way. Try to bring a shopping bag with you and pick up any garbage you may see. There is a dumpster in the parking lot, couldn't be easier! Sad that there aren't overnights allowed in the immediate area anymore, but I tried the campsite halfway back to the highway and found it to be perfectly agreeable. Respect the rules, keep it clean, and enjoy your soak!
  • Funny how some of these reviewers expect their to be cabana boys waiting on them or something.."garden hoses, sulphur smell, mud, nudity, hippies!" Yes it is a hot spring people. If you didn't enjoy the "service" go to a spa next time instead of the nat forest. the hoses are the way the pools fill each other up. its not random garbage. Though there was alot of random garbage the last time i visited. Do everyone a favor and when you visit this magical place, pack out your trash or you risk looking like a tweaker. General wilderness ettiquete applies... always leave it looking better than when you arrived.
