  • Educate while pairing wine with different flavors. Never rushed and treated well. Purchased some dipping oil and chocolate while there too. Nice time.
  • It was crowded when we stopped with a bus out front so we expected a very touristy kitschy place. Try the gummy bears shots soaked in wine - they're basically wine jello shots and delicious. Try all t...  more »
  • This place was great. Samples of all of their products besides their wines. The folks working their were so friendly and knowledgeable about food pairings with their wines. It's a must stop!

  • I rated it a 4 because the only part of the experience I didn't like was that the short haired blonde was a little short with us at first. We engaged in conversation and it was a little less uncomfortable. The food and wine pairing was the best part. I loved the chocolate with the red wines. The river rat cheese was so good! The vinegar they have was really amazing. I will visit again!
  • Came here today for my birthday with 3 friends around 525, with the place advertised online and at the winery as closing at 6. The blonde at the bar was extremely inconvienced by our arrival for a wine tasting. She didn't make eye contact and when asked if they were closing (mind you everywhere including on the building says 6 pm closing) responded with 'well, you can do a wine tasting I guess'. So we were already uncomfortable by dampening her night and suggested out loud that we were inconviencing her and her response was "well we've been here all day and we like to have a life too"..word for word. If you don't like your job and don't feel the need to stay for full shift, you should find a new job. We would have been there for 20 minutes tops. My 3 friends and I took our money back and walked out. This was the place we were looking forward to going to finish our day. We've been here before and enjoy the variety of cheese pairings as well as the different vinegars and salsa throughout the store but we wont be back. Thanks.
  • Love Varick Winery! We love the place, and the wine people are great too. Very much a favorite of ours! We get out once a year, and look forward to visiting Varick for our fun wine tastings. Especially love the pairings......such a nice touch that other wineries do not all provide. It made us spend a whole ton more of money, but it is well worth it!
  • Fun to visit but disappointed to find out a month after visiting our wine was turned to vinegar when went to open it up.
  • Varick offers samples of every product they sell, even their wine slushies.
