  • Nice little museum. Pretty cool to see remnants of the original log cabin that the house was built around. Displays for the artifacts are nicely set up. I liked the children's interactive areas...

  • This was very educational and interesting and it is on the trail that goes to Ridge Ferry Park so take a picnic and see by the river and dine.

  • I visited the museum for a class and drove from Marietta. It took me about an hour and 15 bc of traffic. Although it is a long drive into the country, I enjoyed the scenery. I was hoping to learn more about Native American territory, etc. However I was a little disappointed due to incorrect expectations. It is a self pace tour, but mostly touring the house and artifacts from Natives. It also includes a 9 min history video about the man Ridge and his work with Natives. Great history on house/man, but able to learn this from a history book.
  • Worth visiting on its own, but surely recommended if there is a special event. A good history lesson for those not familiar with Major Ridge or the Cherokee people.
  • Beautiful property I like to sit in the garden before or after I show off the artifacts
  • I am saddened by the disrepair of the wayside exhibits. This site was excavated by Berry and Shorter Colleges students in the early 70s. Needs a lot of work to the grounds. Still an interesting piece of history. Because it he signed the treaty that led to the trail of tears, Major Ridge was not popular with many other Cherokee people.
  • A lovely museum with some extremely important local history.
