Architectural Building Tourist Spot
The site of the state's only working water-powered mill, War Eagle Mill - REOPENING MARCH 1ST! has survived destruction multiple times and today produces its own brands of organic, stone-ground grains. Though the building burned several times, its 1973 reconstruction restored it to operational condition. Stock up on some flour or cereal created with the help of the building's 5.5 m (18 ft) wooden water wheel. Take a look at the mill's museum, full of antique household items dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries. For some real homestyle cooking, visit the restaurant for homemade waffles, coleslaw, beans, cornbread, and more. Add War Eagle Mill - REOPENING MARCH 1ST! to your Rogers travel itinerary, and discover new vacation ideas by using our Rogers tourist route planner.

  • I had a friend visiting from out of town, looking for things to do so we did it. It is so picturesque. Really has a unique history and although you don't need a lot of time there, it is a fun place.  more »
  • I am a local and I love coming here. Stock up on your jams, jellies, salsa, oatmeal, flour, and more. Kids love to watch the mill in action, inside and outside. There are lots a neat souvenirs to buy ...  more »
  • It's just east of Rogers, just off Hwy 12. We were there for a big craft festival. For me the mill was much more interesting than the craft fair. The mill sells flour and other thing produced there, e...  more »

  • It's like stepping back in time a few decades. This is an actual working mill where they grind their own flour, meal, grits, etc. Lots of good organic food. The store is filled with quality souvenirs and crafts from the Ozarks. Upstairs is the restaurant. Great sandwiches. They have taken corn bread to artistic heights. But man....the bathrooms. They are outside. Unfortunately, they are also like taking a step back in time.
  • Beautiful scenery. Walk underneath the bridge and look at the water wheel while your there. Hearing the roaring of the water is pretty awesome. There are a lot of spots that beg to be used for photography.
  • Love visiting here water weel run mill. Good grain products try the cinnamon Walnut waffle mix
  • A favorite place to visit on the weekend! Love their products and the beautiful setting!
  • We love to come and visit the mill when we're in town for our family reunion. Even though we've been there before, there's always so much to see and do, and the restaurant on the third floor has some pretty good food, too.
