War Eagle Mill - REOPENING MARCH 1ST!, Rogers

(4/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
The site of the state's only working water-powered mill, War Eagle Mill - REOPENING MARCH 1ST! has survived destruction multiple times and today produces its own brands of organic, stone-ground grains. Though the building burned several times, its 1973 reconstruction restored it to operational condition. Stock up on some flour or cereal created with the help of the building's 5.5 m (18 ft) wooden water wheel. Take a look at the mill's museum, full of antique household items dating from the 19th and early 20th centuries. For some real homestyle cooking, visit the restaurant for homemade waffles, coleslaw, beans, cornbread, and more. • Friendly fun place to have lunch. Service is warm and it's fun to see the water wheel mill in motion grinding grain.
  • Wonderful place! Beautiful surroundings!
  • I love this place! It's beautiful and all the events are so cool. My favorite things are the restaurant upstairs (the beans and cornbread are phenomenal) and of course their fresh ground organic grains. I would recommend anyone to visit this family friendly historical location.
  • The 1st floor is being remodeled but there was nothing online about it. It's nice to drive threw if your going that way but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it unless they are doing something special like the craft fair
  • Mill is really neat and history very interesting. Restaurant is ok... But service was goodMy biggest complaint is with the old white haired lady who worked in the grist mill area. She was extremely rude to my children and wife. Another customer actually followed us out and said he couldnt believe her attitude. If you dont want little kids to blow on bird chirping whistles then dont sell them in the store and certainly dont take them out of the box they were purchased in and hand them too them.
