  • This park is one of our favorite places to hike. We love the trails and the scenery over Beaver Lake is gorgeous!!
  • Some of, if not the best single track walking/running/mountain biking trails in the state that form an approximately 21 mile loop when all taken together. Well maintained, smooth and flowing in the shade of big trees and an occasional view of Beaver lake. Excellent trail head areas and visitor's center.
  • Awesome state park!! The visitors center is awesome!! Tons of great hiking and mountain biking. I recommend riding the little clifty loop counter clockwise.
  • Hobbs State Park is a great place to enjoy the natural world. There are several hiking trails, including one which is handicap-accessible. Sinking Stream Trail and Van Winkle Trail are my favorites, as they are great for birding and wildflowers, and aren't too strenuous. I also enjoyed Shaddox Hollow Trail, and hope to be able to hike that trail again some day. The visitor's center is really nice and has programs and exhibits to suit most any nature lover.
  • Unbelievable how beautiful this place is. Folks who are not from Arkansas may not know it but this part of the state is a natural paradise. There are many miles of multiuse trails here for mountain bikes, hiking, horses etc.
  • Other area parks get the notoriety, but Hobbs is really great. The variety of trails in scenery, length, and the visitors center make it a great destination. I can take my toddlers, their grandparents, or head out for a day alone and find something for everyone. Their classes and events I have not attended, but am definitely intrigued, including astronomical occasions! I can bike or hike, and it is right in the back yard.
