  • I chose to camp here after searching online for a place on Lake Huron. Wasn't concerned about the drive from Plymouth, just wanted a nice park on the lake. Well of all the places I could have chosen, I hit a home run with Hoeft. The park host was a friendly guy, the staff was amazing, and friendly, the park was pristine, and the bathrooms were spotless. I can't say enough good things about the host, and the staff, They can make or break a trip, and they made it a wonderful experience. The people of Rodgers City are a friendly, and welcoming community as well. I will be back every year for my June trip, and I'll stay on the exact same site as well, because I had the perfect campsite. No, I will not say what number it was!
  • This is an excellent campground for families or anyone looking to get away, right on lake Huron and close to the only falls in lower Michigan. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help no matter what :) highly recommend it for anyone looking to get away.
  • We stayed at Hoeft State Park last Memorial Day weekend. We reserved site number 35. It was pretty secluded with a hill on one side and the campsite to the east was not occupied. It was our first camping trip with our pop-up. This particular site was kind of hard to get our pop-up into. Thankfully the site across from us was not booked and we could pull in there to back into site 35. The beach was clean and a quick walk. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. The bathroom was spotless. We have a toddler, the playground was a little small but we didn't really need to use it. If you have time take a quick drive to the Ocqueoc Falls.... bring your bathing suits!
  • Love this park. Nice walking trails and great bike path.
  • If you want to really camp. This is beautiful park
