  • While visiting in the outer banks, we made a point to see the beautiful home that was featured in my favorite authors book turned movie, Nights of Rodanthe, I now have the information to stay there ne...  more »
  • We visited the pier on a family vacation and it was very nice. We were able to see dolphins and stingrays from the pier.  more »
  • There is not much to do in Rodanthe - that's not a bad thing. The beach is eroding quickly to the north of the pier and not much slower to the south. Take pictures from the pier while it's still there...  more »

  • BEST vacation spot! Fishing on the pier was awesome. Will be back for more next summer.
  • I have fished off many piers but I must say the management at this pier was rude, not friendly and complete ass holes! I would never fish there again! I would never use their pier again. Goto their website and read the rules! Rule number 1# Peir management is always right!!!! That rule says it all!
  • The pier is very well built, wide, and has numerous benches for relaxing or fishing. Everyone I saw or talked to that was fishing had caught something. Renting a fishing pole was ten dollars from the pier store. They also have live music on Thursday evenings throughout the summer. Also, the view walking out and back in from the pier is absolutely amazing!
  • Pier is nice. The shop has most things that you need to fish. You can buy or rents poles. They have reasonably priced souvenirs. If you are staying in certain beach houses close to the Pier, you get on it for free. Price to enter is $2.
  • We've been visiting OBX for the past six years. My kids love fishing at the pier with their dad and grandpa. Lots of great memories made there.
