  • This Hike has it all! I compare it best to Black Lake. I find it best to start early to avoid afternoon storms in the summer. Park at the Glacier Basin lot around 6-7am. You will be near water almost ...  more »
  • Although the lake itself is not as beautiful as Lake of Glass, it is surrounded by dramatic rock spires amid the alpine tundra. Skypond is larger than LoG, but the color is more gray. Across the way t...  more »
  • We hiked up to Sky Pond and had a small picnic lunch and did a little studying by the Pond. The weather came in quickly and made us leave but it was amazing!  more »

  • This was our 1st 10 mile hike for this season here! From climbing up the Timberline waterfalls to slipping in the snow on top of the mountain to the breathtaking views of Glacier Gorge, Alberta Falls, The Loch and Lake of Glass we experienced it all !! Definitely my most favorite hike so far !
  • By far my favorite hike it's strenuous but worth the effort. Amazing views on the way up.
