    Horseshoe park is one of the best places to see mule deer. Every day we drove into the park there were animals. We saw elk, mule deer, coyote, geese, duck and a moose there.  more »

    Love love this place. We came at the end of Sept abs the Aspen have turned golden. just park your car on the roadside and walk across into the field. Beautiful!

    Be sure to visit it at Dusk or Dawn to see some wildlife. Need ample patience before you can witness it.

Where to stay in Rocky Mountain National Park

Camping offers one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the nature of Rocky Mountain National Park. The park offers more than 500 individual sites spread out over five developed campgrounds, and wilderness camping expands your options even further. Many visitors stay in the eastside gateway town of Estes Park, where you can choose from lodges, resorts, economy motels, small inns, bed and breakfasts, and cabins. The town features a lake and views of the park's sharp peaks. On the park's western side, a handful of lodges, inns, cabins, and motels are clustered around Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. You'll also find campgrounds around Lake Granby.
