  • Horseshoe park is one of the best places to see mule deer. Every day we drove into the park there were animals. We saw elk, mule deer, coyote, geese, duck and a moose there.  more »

  • By far, this is one of the hot spots for viewing elk in Rocky Mtn National Park. There is parking along the road as well as a parking lot. Some other areas don't have near the parking and any elk sigh...  more »

  • Love love this place. We came at the end of Sept abs the Aspen have turned golden. just park your car on the roadside and walk across into the field. Beautiful!
  • Great place to get away
  • Be sure to visit it at Dusk or Dawn to see some wildlife. Need ample patience before you can witness it.
  • Beautiful, peaceful valley in Rocky Mountain National Park
  • Like many National Forests, pets aren't allowed on trails. But, in the fall when the campgrounds close the roads behind locked gates are ideal.
