I live a quarter of a mile from this recreation area and the views of the lake beautiful, especially in the Fall. It's nice to just pack a lunch and go down by the beach for a picnic.
The lake is beautiful, nice beach. Newly built bike trail. The camp spots are really un level, so come prepared. We've lived in the county all of our lives, this is the first time we've camped here, w... read more »
We were impressed with this park. The picnic area overlooking the lake had a lot of shady picnic tables including some under a shelter. There were clean primitive restrooms and a nice little playgroun... read more »
We camped on the 5th 6th 7th at camp site 69 and our friends camped on site 70. We were so disappointed, when we first pulled up to our site, I couldn't believe what we were looking at, my first thought was how am I suppose to level our camper in the mud, both sites were the same,on a severe slant. We did the best with what we had. Racoon were all over the place. My son and his wife had the worse three nights of there life in there tent!!!!, racoons got into there tent and tore it up, got there food, need I say any more. Now I could say I want a refund, I know this will probably never happen, just thought I throw that in. So in closing, the odds of us coming back are slim and none, and believe me I'll put the word out.

I have always enjoyed camping at Raccoon Lake. It is a very clean and family oriented atmosphere. The beach is wonderful and the fun you can have on the lake is great! Perfect for young families! I plan on returning again soon!
Cleanest campground I have ever stayed at. This Is a campground at a georgous lake. You want great hiking trails go to Turkey Run State park. Boat launch area near by. Beach & boat rental near by. Bring your boat & pole and enjoy
We camped here last weekend. The bathrooms were decent. Our piece of campsite was sloped, which was a bit of a bummer. But, we loved being right next to the lake to fish.
I went to Racoon lake for the very first time yesterday and it was so beautiful and so much fun!! Me and my family took our boat and jet skis out there and we definitely plan on coming back.
