  • Lighthouses are always nice for a quick stop. We thought this one was very "cute" (as my wife says) and it is in really good shape. The caretakers obviously take great pride in it. Beautiful views and...  more »
  • This was a short stop on our tour. We only had 45 minutes here, but given the amazing and vast collection, another 30 minutes would have been welcomed! It is chocked full of so much info, displays, me...  more »
  • Nice place to stop and take a break if you are driving the coast or are just interested in Maritime items. Very nice museum. Enough information to be interesting. Takes maybe 1/2 hour (depending on yo...  more »

  • Very nice museum. A lot of navigational aid and Coast Guard history and artifacts. Lenses were amazing!
  • Great exhibits and artifacts. I loved coming through the museum. The tour guide was a bit clingy though.
  • I'm sure it's got interesting info but it's just a small museum at the back of the town's Chamber of Commerce. The place is run by elderly people and they're usually busy talking rather than manning the place. You do need to pay an admission fee. The sign says to wait at the gift shop counter so I waited. I left when I realized that I was being ignored. I wish I didn't make the trip here but in retrospect, the scenery and drive over was worth the disappointment. If I had time, I would've done the Lighthouse Trail instead and completely skipped this.
  • I love this museum! I go there every time I visit Maine!
