  • If you really like lighthouses, this is the place for you. Lots of fresnel lenses, big and small, to enjoy up close and personal. Worth a stop, for sure. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable as well. A fun place with nice folks... And lots of lighthouse history (and fun models as well).
  • Here you'll find the largest collection if lighthouse and maritime artifacts available under one roof. Many of the artifacts were purchased by Ken "Mr Lighthouse" Black prior to his death. The modest gift shop has an assortment of items sure to please. The Maine Lighthouse Museum MUST BE on the bucket list of any and every lighthouse enthusiast.
  • Nice 1 mile hike on the water out to light house not a crowded place has a small beech to swim
  • Really neat lighthouse museum highlighting their design, history, technology, key figures with attention to local and regional history.
  • The collection of lenses and mechanisms from old lighthouses is pretty amazing.
