  • This is a great stopping point in one's travels. They had some old games from back in the day. Several old candies! Not as big as Wall drug in South Dakota. Still all in all a good place to visit. Sto...  read more »
  • Great place to pick up local products and fun gifts. Couldn't believe how busy it was on a Sunday afternoon - really hopping!
  • Hard to find items beautifully displayed, food available, a covered kissing bridge... what's not to like. A great stop on your way up or back.
  • A fun stop...almost a traditional "tourist trap" but more fun. Yes, the $$ are a bit high, but this is a speciality retailer...and many items are hard to find, or semi rare consumer products....MANY of the items they sell are from brands that are mostly gone...but a few iconic items are still made. Lots of samples, and it's fun just to putz around and look and explore, and discover.
  • I don't get a chance to visit this store often because of the distance but it's usually a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately that was not the case for my visit yesterday. When it came time to pay our card was declined multiple times and our account instantly frozen. We asked the girl behind the counter to please hold our stuff until we could get to an atm which we were told was 10 minutes away. By the time we got back they had already put our stuff back and put all of our candies into one bag "because they didn't think we were coming back" even though we told them we were. The manager helped pull up the order and we were simply recharged for the exact purchase. The only thing was that they said they threw our different candies by the pound into one bag. However, when we got home we noticed that not all of the candy we grabbed was there even though we were charged for it all being there. I am assuming that girl who was supposed to put them back nibbled a few thinking if would do no harm. Not only is that extremely unprofessional but when your candy is over 16 dollars a pound its even more unacceptable. Needless to say I will not be returning to your store and will advise others to shop elsewhere too. Perhaps in the future you should add into the training that it is not okay to eat people's candy when it is being held for them. And all of this might have been forgivable if the manager had been friendly but she seemed more annoyed by us then the clerk.
  • The perfect New England store. Almost everything here you will not find at regular convienence stores. With cheeses and dips, to clothes and furniture this store has it all. An absolute must if you are in the area.
  • The Vermont Country Store is a fun place to poke around to see what little treasures you can find. The have cute toys and "vintage" looking items, however their prices on some things can be pretty crazy. That said, its always fun to stop and walk through the store every time we're in the area.
  • Fine products, overly priced, apparently , at least yesterday, problems with credit card purchase yesterday and poor customer service reguarding this problem, I will not be returning to this store for future purchaces and will advise family and friends to shop at other location or thru the mail order catalog
