  • We had heard from friends about this museum and knew we would love it. We have a train-crazy 5 y.o. and we bought the family membership since we were planning on visiting Roanoke in the fall. And it worked out because we returned the next (mostly to watch the model trains). Beamer's 25 is a convenient place for lunch (walk-able from the museum). Also, if you drive electric. They have a charging station.
  • The exhibits were excellent. Plenty of hands on activities for younger people and interesting facts for older people. Good for the whole family.
  • We went there as a part of Harry Potter Fest. The only thing I would say they might want to improve on is better displays ( better ways to display, and fixing old displays), and cleaning/ dusting. But we did love it.
  • Very informative and beautiful classic cars. We went during Harry Potter's"Muggle Fest" where they claimed a train there was in likeness of the train at 9 3/4 that took young wizards to Hogwarts. It was just an old train with a crooked handwritten sign in front of it that said Hogwarts. I felt ripped off.
  • Wonderful experience and very enjoyable. Self guided tour and easy to access most things if someone is handicapped.
