  • Great view of Roanoke and the star is cool to visit. There is some great walking trails and a little outdoor garden to walk that's all in the shade. Very small playground for the kids and there us a z...  more »
  • My daughter and I went up to see the star as suggested by the manager at the Rockfish restaurant. It was pretty cool and a good view of town but very crowded. Hard to get a decent picture without some...  more »
  • The Park is very nice but rather unspectacular. We have gone for a walk once around the Roanoke star and briefly enjoyed the views of the city. Nearby was also a hiking trail, since this was apparently only through the forest, we have abandoned them.

  • Love Roanoke's landmark. My family from Pa visit the star every year. I love to take pics. Beautiful scene of mountains and beautiful star. Wish there was more discounts to zoo. Love having picnics at the picnic tables up there.
  • Me and my wife went up there at night. We had a good time in the view was awesome. It was a little crowded, but not to bad. Some wild teenagers doing things they shouldn't be doing as well but who didn't do that back in their days.
  • If hiking is your thing, you will love this zoo. Very unique animals and birds. a little different than the normal zoo...
  • I feel bad for their big cat. In this summer heat, panting and laying its head down. Just breaks my heart. Neat animals but at what expense?
  • Great place with picnic tables and playground equipment. Trails to the star. 🌟 And the zoo.
