  • While celebrating St. Patties in Roanoke we fell into a marvelous authentic brew pub. The owner (brewmeister) was on staff and was happy to discuss his selections of specials and menu items. IT was a ...  more »
  • I've tried all of the local breweries and this one consistently has the most interesting and enjoyable selections. Like others have said, they are a nano-brewery so their selection is always changing....  more »
  • After flying in from Tangier Island we stopped for a beer. I had the "Slave to the Grind" which was delicious. Great selection of beer and food. Plus - free popcorn!  more »

  • This is my favorite brewery in the Roanoke Valley, no question about it. Bryan, Chuck, and Harry really have something special in their craft beer variety. The lineup is ever-changing and, thusly, appeals to those with a penchant for trying new brews. I love the small, intimate vibe that the current location offers, but the new location opening down the street in late summer will allow for a more relaxed environment as it often gets crowded on weekends. The amount of traffic is a testament to how loved this nano brewery has become! I'm excited to visit and be a part of the new location by becoming a member of the West Station Beer Society! Please, please make this a stop if you live in or visit the Roanoke Valley! Make sure to bring or buy your own growler to take home your favorite!
  • Best beer in Roanoke! The staff is always friendly. The beer that Brian and his crew brews are simply amazing. Rarely the same beer twice. Exceptional quality! Good food trucks. Can't wait for the expansion and the new place! Keep up the great beer! Cheers to Big Lick!
  • We could only visit one brewery during our short time in Roanoke, so we chose Big Lick. We were not disappointed, as everything we had in our flights was great. They offer growlers to go, which is nice. Wish they canned on-site though, since we were traveling. They don't make food in-house but you can bring your own. Alternatively, they do have local restaurants and the like who come in to serve food some days. We thought that was really cool. We'd have stayed longer and drank more if we had food. Definitely recommended!
  • Easily the best beer in Roanoke. The area is a little small right now, but I'm looking forward to many more visits after the move.
  • Love this place and the interesting beer, looking forward to the new location with more space.
