  • We could only visit one brewery during our short time in Roanoke, so we chose Big Lick. We were not disappointed, as everything we had in our flights was great. They offer growlers to go, which is nice. Wish they canned on-site though, since we were traveling. They don't make food in-house but you can bring your own. Alternatively, they do have local restaurants and the like who come in to serve food some days. We thought that was really cool. We'd have stayed longer and drank more if we had food. Definitely recommended!
  • They do a fantastic job with hoppy beers. Beware Cosmic Fluff (experimental). It is one of the worst beers I've had. It's intentionally based on a fluffernutter. Jessics was lovely drinking partner.
  • My husband and I were in Roanoke visiting. I have to confess I grew up in Asheville, so I'm used to breweries. This is one was a little disappointing. They did let us bring our dog inside, which was nice, but overall, it just wasn't a "brewery vibe". The beer was okay, I've had better. If you're visiting, it's worth grabbing a beer or two and moving on.
  • Excellent beer choices! Love the ambience inside, and everyone is so nice to talk to!
  • Good ambiance and decent beer selection.
