  • Played the Peaks course yesterday Friday July 29th. The Ranch course is closed for bunker renovations. Go play there!! For summer, the course was in great shape. Greens were quick and very consistent but firm so hit short of hole or green and let ball feed. Fairways were moist and soft. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!! Thank you Tonto Verde!!
  • One of the best places I've played
  • Played the Ranch course, fairly demanding very well maintained. Could be a bit more descriptive regarding the holes layout especially the last two, very tough holes if one has not played them.
  • Tonto Verde is just 10 minutes east of North Scottsdale down Dynamite Road. They have two 18-hole golf courses that are in great condition - their maintenance crew takes their job seriously. Tee times are easy to access on their website. There is also a helpful video tour of both courses done by their Golf Pro that is worth watching on their website. Beverage cart that circles the courses, and a great Grill/Bar with an outdoor patio for lunch or dinner after golf. Their golf courses are open to the public.
  • Seriously nice golf. Deceptively beautiful setting way in the back of the county. Each hole is a unique experience. Homes fringe the fairways but are set back behind beautiful desert plants and trees, and are custom homes (not track homes). Very nice golf course layout and design. Many approach shots are visual gems. Heads-up for the members that clog the course. They want their monthly dues worth and their play is unlimited. It was dark and I was still behind three twosomes, average age 70 years. The cartpath-only policy means a 70 year old person has to walk a long way to get to their ball and back, and it takes way too much time. I should have brought an Audubon reference guide to identify Sonoran Desert plants and trees. There was plenty of time to do so. Overall, what a nice day!
