Adkins Arboretum Reviews
Adkins held their annual "awareness" (i.e. fund) raiser on property. The evening under the stars reminded us how much the arboretum is a gem and "must see" for anyone with an environmental interest wh... more »
We walked to the arboretum from Tuckahoe State Park. I recommend driving there and saving your energy to walk around their facility. There's lots to look at. They have a demonstration area, goats, veg... more »
Our first visit and it won't be our last! This arboretum isn't far off of Routes 50 and 301 and is a hidden gem. The layout of the paths (meadows and woods) have been made with great skill and care. T... more »
Trails well maintained. Great place for hiking & jogging, while enjoying scenery.
This is a great place to visit. Nice gift shop with really good coffee and very nice knowledgeable people working there. The trails are wide to walk around with lots of information stands and lots of different stuff to see. It connects to other trails as well.
Good place to check out local flora, especially trees, and to buy native plants. Trails are very accessible and well marked. Lovely visitor center with helpful staff and handouts. Lots of parking. Nice place for an hour's meandering on the Eastern Shore if you are already there. Note: Hard to find as there was no signpost after leaving the main highway, so watch your GPS map carefully to veer off to the left almost immediately. We had to ask at the gas station in Ridgely.
Nice trails, beautiful center, fun art inside and out. Good bookstore.
