  • I've been here on a number of occasions, from simple visits to company functions in rented out space, and I'm always struck by the simple but refined elegance of the memorial. The museum displays are excellent, easy to see up close and well documented. There are a variety of educational opportunities, including well done films, and the vista of the James River and City of Richmond make for amazing photography. The staff at the Memorial are wonderful people who make everyone feel welcome.
  • The Virginia War Memorial is definitely a place one should visit at least once. The memorial its self is a stark and poignant reminder of the price our brave servicemen have paid for us. The tour was comprehensive, informative, and entertaining.
  • Being in a true shrine to those that gave everything is always an emotional experience. Being a native Virginian and having grown up and lived here my entire life it's very moving to see all the names etching into the stone and glass walls of the outer walkway! The interior has fantastic galleries, although, if you look close enough, you'll find a few missteps with regard to labelling.
  • This is a very well done memorial for Virginians who were killed in war. They have historians at the memorial who can answer any questions you might have. They like to share their knowledge of history. Definitely pay a visit here when you have a chance.
  • Excellent tour with an informative volunteer and veteran.
