  • Visit this wonderful memorial. The displays, the authentic memorabilia, the famous (and not so famous quotes) by past military leaders is a fantastic history lesson and a way to both remember and hono...  more »
  • I can't believe it took me 49 years of living in Richmond to finally get to the Virginia War Memorial (VWM) for the first time. And, now that I've been there, I need to go back to see what I missed. F...  more »
  • A war memorial for the many Virginian Souls perished during US wars. The wall of names is both breathtaking and unnerving. The friendly and attentive staff bring this memorial to life.  more »

  • A fine tribute to Virginians in various wars, but the gallery room has only a couple of plaques for each major war with the most basic of overviews. The movie hall is the best attraction. Documentation from local experts/military about experiences all the way up through present day. Lovely place but if looking for history, not all there
  • Come out the weekend of April 22ND for the Remembrance walk. Purchase a flag for a Veteran family member or friend. Beautiful to see the flags with Name, Branch & year. The docents are quick to assist & amiable. Remarkable & our gratitude should never fail, past, present & future.
  • Great memorial that honors the men and women from Virginia who gave their lives in the wars from WWII to the present. Very moving. Good museum attached.
  • Gorgeous memorial, stunning views of the city and the river. It has a small museum as well; our children loved visiting.
  • This site is a wonderful memorial the Virginians lost in campaigns around the globe
