  • A great place that is no more. I wish I had gone more often. I hear stories of rebirth or other ways to preserve the most important exhibits.
  • The children have always enjoyed getting close up to the old planes and touring the exhibits. Unfortunately, it closed July 1, 2016. we do hope it will reopen. We really enjoyed the lectures, the chil...  more »

  • A super aviation museum. I especially like the small exhibit on the world's top Mustang ace, Maj. George Preddy. Preddy is in many museums here in the USA and in England. He scored 26.83 aerial victories and five more by starfing. The VA ANG has a building named for him, and many items on display in their base ops building. The VA ANG has now moved to Langley!
  • It's really too bad they are shutting down. My family really enjoyed this.
  • I'm so sad this place is closing its doors in a few days(June 30). Its severely underrated and will missed by aviation fans here in Richmond.
  • The museum is one of my favorite places in the city. Great place to take the kids or just wonder around yourself. The SR71 Blackbird is one of the most wicked planes ever, and one of my favorites as well.
  • Great place! I helped restore one of their planes in 2006 . Sad to see it closing.
