  • A must, when in Richmond. White-house tour was great, a lot of good interesting information, great guide. Interesting part of the American history, even when this period of the American history has pr...  read more »
  • The museum presents both sides of the civil war--a rarity it seems in this day and age. The house is beautifully restored and the guided tour is very though. The museum presents artifacts in a very pe...  read more »
  • This is a MUST see! The best Civil War museum we have encountered. The artifacts were unbelievable. It gave us goosebumps to be in the company of General Lee and so many of his commanders. One review ...  read more »
  • If you have any interest in the Confederacy as an institution this is a must see. The "white house" tour is very well done, and the house has an incredible amount of originals. It's a fantastic portrait of how one of the greatest American traitors (or patriots) lived on a day to day basis. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, but also knew when not to answer questions, because she was not an expert, which is equally important. Highly recommended.
  • It's fantastic with the best collection of civil war artifacts around..the flags are unbelievable and the mansion is breathtaking. The tour guide was good but could have been a little nicer. He seemed to think we all should know certain things..he was funny and entertaining but could have been more patient. Not everyone has worked there for 18 yrs.
  • The museum is extremely hard to find, and even harder to find parking for. With AAA discount, admission and Confederate White House tour (which was the best part) was reasonably priced. The museum is self-paced... I wish I'd paid for the headset... so much reading!
  • Cool museum, but I was hoping to see a little bit more. I wish the photographs were actual and not copies. Overall a good visit though.
  • Excellent museum with friendly and knowledgeable tour guides! Learn about details of the Civil War that's not commonly found on history textbooks. Learn about the life of Jefferson Davis and his Varina in great details from a neutral, objective, and truthful perspective.
