  • This is a lovely center, not a bad seat in the house. This is not a negative but you will park up the drive and is a little walk. Not many places to eat in Richmond.
  • I have attended many concerts and other shows at the EKU Center for the Arts and most have been excellent. The Beach Boys concert was one of the best ever. The bar service is not well thought out. The...  read more »

  • Lee Brice was amazing as usual. However the sound quality was bad in this venue. I'm not sure if it was his sound crew or the venue, but you couldn't hear him at all for 1st five songs or so. This is not customary for his concerts. I've seen him 4 times in last 12 months, so I know what to expect. Our seats were upgraded to the 1st tier at no additional charge. This was a nice bonus. The seats were comfortable and the view was great. We had will call tickets and that process was painless and efficient. The staff were very helpful. Biggest complaint...NO beverage service after an hr from "beginning of show." Lee didn't come on stage at 7:30, but the beverage service was shut down by 8:30. No beverages were sold at this time. I understand stopping alcohol sales, but not water and soft drinks. The staff response was to give directions to the water fountain. I go to concerts regularly, at least 1 per month, and this is unheard of in the industry. I hope EKU fixes this issue, because I wouldn't encourage others to see a concert there due to sound quality and lack of concessions. Good thing Lee Brice made up for it with his amazing skills and talent.
  • Great Venue, beautiful theater, will definitely return!!!!
  • This venue is great. It's clean, well laid out, and they bring fantastic shows. There is a couple of things however that were aggravating to me after spending over $60.00 a ticket (x2) for a show recently. There are signs that say, no photography, videos, etc. But as soon as the headliner came out on stage, dozens of hands popped up and flashes were all over the front few rows. At one point during the show, the headliner had to tell people to stop recording him. A headliner should never have to do that at a venue. However when i looked at the people working at the venue, they were all sitting by letting it happen. The next annoying distraction was that they allowed a few of the attendees to get so intoxicated they could barely walk up the aisle. I know the show wasn't a philharmonic or highly sought after opera, but it's classless to let people get that drunk where they are taking the attention off of the show everyone else paid to come see.
  • The sound was to loud for the concert, to much of a light show. The building was my made for concerts.
  • The best part about the EKU Center? Since it opened in 2011, the design was relatively modern and even the seats at the very back of the main theater have a great view of the shows!
