  • We have brought our kids here since they were little. We love the event in December. Christmas at the Fort. That is our most favorite and I recommend it to everyone. We just came last month to visit a...  more »

  • What a fun campsite! Plenty of room for all size trailers. It was decorated for the Halloween Fest so the front section of the park was lit up at night. The camp store supplied the necessities if you ...  more »

  • I love this place. Great for camping, swimming, fishing and boating, including kayaks. It's very well kept all of them time and never too crowded. Lots of space as well for privacy. This place is great for a moment of summer fun. I highly recommend kayaking on the river.
  • Very pretty Kentucky State Park campground. The people who work there are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay for the night. I wanted to visit the fort but it is closed Tuesday through Thursday and we were there Tues. There is some type of large outdoor processing plant close by which at times makes a lot of noise with big trucks. Pretty quiet overnight though.
  • Lots of potential here. We enjoyed ourselves but things could have been better. We camped for two nights and our site large and wooded and private. However our site was less than 20 yards from a major road and we had the sound of trucks and motorcycles all night. The pool was shut down due to "mechanical issues" for both days. We went to the Fort and it's cool, but pretty expensive . Overall a good park but expensive for what you get.
  • This is a key part of the the history of Kentucky. Here you can learn the day to day life of the pioneers as well as participate in some of the activities. There is a Daniel Boone museum as well as a fort museum. Here the staff will show you how the pioneers made yard, wove blankets, made candles, blacksmithing, and medicines. It's very affordable and very entertaining. I must see for every history buff or Kentuckian.
  • This is a very clean and welcoming State Park nestled along th e Kentucky River minutes away from Richmond and Winchester Kentucky. Lots of foliage to shade yourself on a hot sunny day. Historically speaking feet away where Daniel Boone and the first pioneers to this area settled and yards away from where John Hunt Morgan and his men crossed over into Clark County under the Watchful eyes of the Union Soldiers manning a post over looking this section of river. Enjoy if you should ever find yourself in the area. Norman & Karen Rechel
