  • Attend courses at Omega is an enchanting experience, in addition to being in a very beautiful and peaceful place. There are different activities in place like dances, meditations, spa, boats on the Lake. It only that you recommend is investing in a room individual. Cleaning is not very good in the bathroom and when shared with several people can be a not very nice experience. The food is reasonable but I think 5 days only 3 or 4 times I liked, while I am a vegetarian. The staff is very friendly. They have a shop with very nice products. The spa services are excellent. I got a facial massage and it was extraordinary.

  • I've been to Omega three years in a row as an assistant to one of the main presenters and also as a guest presenter in each year. I've stayed in the dorms and now one of the cabins too. From the first...  read more »
  • the instructor was terrible - as was the food - however I was warned about the food HUGE waste of time & $
  • Second time at Omega. Second time staying in a "tenting Cabin". I am lucky enough to have been given a generous scholarship to attend the retreat I wanted to attend. From the food, to the staff to the immaculate grounds Omega warms my heart each time I return. I was lucky enough to book an 80 minute deep tissue massage with a woman named Mallory. I have had massages all over the place and it was the BEST deep tissue massage I have ever had. I can tell you that Mallory used the best amount of pressure, I was not sore the next day. I drank plenty of water before and AFTER my massage as to help push the toxins out of my body. My retreat was helpful and full of love. I went to the Holistic Life's "bringing meditation into your life". I have been on retreat with these same people 2 times before at Garrison Institute. Every time I see them I learn something new. Its always a pleasure. Omega you rock. Thanks for the wonderful weekend.
  • Wonderful place full of helpful staff and people. The atmosphere is very calm and woodsy. Such a good escape from a busy life. The lake during the summer is a great addition to the powerful workshops. I highly recommend Omega to my friends who need a break and are interested in transformation in their lives. I will be coming back again and again for years. Thank you Omega!
  • I paid 95 dollars for 60 seconds of trapeze. The class was two hours long. The class was WAY too full. The instructors were great and I don't blame them. The "institute" itself seems very disorganized. Weeks before I booked this class I had to call twice to get information on it because I had questions about a three day trapeze workshop. No one called me back the first time and the second time they didn't get back to me until a day before the workshop. At that point it had gotten too close for me so I just signed up for one class and I'm glad I did because even that was a ripoff. There was no information prior to the class. For example, no one informed the students they were supposed to wear socks and no one was able to direct me to the trapeze area once I arrived.
  • I had booked a Workshop there to see Dr. Brian Weiss for his "Miracles Happen" . It was my 1st time at Omega. I found it to be well run and clean. I loved the meals which were included in my booking along w/my cabin/room booking. Even tho they were Vegetarian and I am not. Everything was quite tasty and healthy and the buffet style ensured that you could eat as much as you wanted. It's a rural, quiet setting which we quite enjoyed. Our room held 2 twins (comfortable and clean) and bureaus and was plenty spacious enough for the time there. The shared bath was actually a separate toilet and separate shower behind the two guest rooms; and each room had a small sink area to wash/brush etc. I also much appreciated that the Campus is GREEN and I enjoyed the "Spiritual Wellness" of the whole complex. While I attended the Workshop my husband did R & R and read. No TV or cell reception was fine with us and I would go back again for other workshops. Definitely take Rt 90 if coming from the N.East to Taconic Pkwy. Rural routes might not be as well marked.
  • Omega is a wonderful place and way to expose yourself to all sorts of ideas. Some are academic, some are ancient/venerable, some are refreshing, and others are flaky... and the attendees are similar. The accommodations and lack of mobile connections can be a bit rustic for the uninitiated on the one hand while lacking the depth of an ashram on the other hand, but it is what it is: a retreat where you can take peaceful steps towards other things. My only longterm concern has been the lack of seminars and activities for children and teenagers. That has been improving to some extent (such as the Little Forest People, RoboFun Stop, tennis, and soccer), but if your kids come up frequently, the offerings are still sparse. I also disagree with the Wayfinder Experience, for there are elements of violence or subversion which don't fit with the retreat itself. I understand that teenage boys are engrossed with video games... but we don't have to foster that at a retreat geared toward expanding our consciousness and horizons.
