  • I walked around south campus with its pretty lake and woodsy expanse then drove to mid-campus to park. I visited the bookstore and took pictures of the beautiful buildings.  more »
  • If you are looking for U of Nevada clothing and gifts - this is a great place to go for a wide selection. Easy to get to, close parking and prices consistent with the quality of the merchandise.  more »

  • I graduated in 2012 after transferring from TMCC. It was a pleasant experience, and the professors were knowledgeable. But being a non traditional student (in my 30s and working all day) I could never get into any of the classes that I really wanted to take and had to settle for what was available at night. This was especially evident in the CS department, which has great instructors... they just need to offer more courses in the evenings. Even at the Master's level... I did not complete my Master's because the courses are not available if you work during the day. I found myself working on a Master's degree that I wasn't even interested in just because of the schedule, and then lost interest. Think outside of the box UNR!
  • i am a 8th grader but i am planning to go here this place seems good and the fees are not that bad either.
  • Hard to find parking. Nice buildings. Everything looks new. I was a guest. I would have liked my college to be like this one.
  • Easy to find phone numbers and necessary information...well done site.
  • “Beautiful campus that appears to be growing” Big enough to still be small....suited to those in the sciences and engineering. Methinks...even with the increased student body size...services are still set so as not to be a number.

Where to stay in Reno

Since Reno's casinos want you to save your money for the blackjack table, they offer some very reasonable rates on their rooms. Even a stay in one of the amenity-rich resort- or spa-style casinos downtown can be quite affordable. Plenty of hotels, motels, inns, and lodges are scattered throughout town, though most lie in and around downtown. If you're planning to ski in the mountains west of town, staying near Interstate 80 can save a couple minutes on your commute. Accommodations in Reno generally remain easy to find, but the days before and after the popular Burning Man festival in the desert east of the city tend to see a bump in visitors. Consider booking ahead if your visit coincides with the festival.
