Awesome place if you plan to ski/snowboard at the Northstar resort. The rooms are conveniently located at the bottom of the slopes so access to snowboarding is fast and easy. There are places to shop and eat right on the ground floor of the village. There is also a movie theater, skating rink and a couple of hot savory food like crepe and hot chocolate. The rooms are nice and has the basic essentials to cover all comfort needs. I'd recommend this place!
Condo was a good size, but is not very well updated even for the mountain cabin look it was going for. Late night check-in could be explained better in advance. Overall good value for something so close to the mountain.
I want simply for snowboarding. It was my first time ever snowboarding, and I was very impressed with how quickly the lines want and how efficient everything was. Lunch was pretty expensive, but I'm not surprised considering. The food was good, though. I think what I was very happy with, though, was that almost every time I took an especially hard fall, a north star employee was right there making sure I was ok.
Nice atmosphere, spent time in the tiny movie theater but it was cozy inside. The outdoor rink was nice and the shops were appropriately overpriced ($1675 for a jacket? Sounds about right for the area). Went to a pizza place there, believe it was called Rubicon. Ordered a pizza to go, bartender didn't call out the order until after 10 minutes it was sitting on the counter. So not going there again despite the pizza being quite delicious. Hit the slopes and it was excellent powder. Snow was good too. ;)
Needed to stay there due to road closures. Room was nice, took a while to get it cleaned though.
