Where to stay in Reno

Since Reno's casinos want you to save your money for the blackjack table, they offer some very reasonable rates on their rooms. Even a stay in one of the amenity-rich resort- or spa-style casinos downtown can be quite affordable. Plenty of hotels, motels, inns, and lodges are scattered throughout town, though most lie in and around downtown. If you're planning to ski in the mountains west of town, staying near Interstate 80 can save a couple minutes on your commute. Accommodations in Reno generally remain easy to find, but the days before and after the popular Burning Man festival in the desert east of the city tend to see a bump in visitors. Consider booking ahead if your visit coincides with the festival.

  • Place is home to the world's tightest slot machines. Tried dozens over a period of a cpl days and not one paid off a dime much less even heated up. Unless mgmt. does something about this I would suggest you stay far away from this shake down joint.
  • A restaurant on the third floor called Top Deck has excellent food at amazing prices. 2 can eat for less than 20 dollars and that includes prime rib and lobster for 11.99. Great service too. Be sure to tip your Keno runner.
  • Love the late night snack bar downstairs that wants to make you sick and that sucks. Look at the pictures I post of the cook that leaves out hamburger patties for 3 or 4 hours and does not keep the meat in the refrigerator. Do you know how to say Food poisoning?
  • Good place to have fun without breaking the bank. Great prices on food. Large sportsbook upstairs. Love the beer and a dog deal.
  • Nice air conditioned comfort! Only wish they would open the snack bar at the Sportsbook area more often. They have the best Teriyaki chicken wings & Ranch dressing and that is the only place in Cal Neva to buy them! They have a ton of Televisions, a lot of tables & big bar, but NO OPEN SNACK BAR! I'm talking AFTER 12 Noon on a Saturday & Sunday! IN THE SUMMER! While we were at the Sportsbook, quite a few people came up & left when they saw the snack bar was closed. A Bartender told me it very rarely opens any more. How sad. May have to rethink going back!
