  • Kring is a beautiful campground and the best in the 1000 island region. They have a nice sandy beach, dockage, some electric, laundry, and a nicely stocked general store outside the park. Most sites have good views of the river and/or bay. The staff is friendly too. I camped on the point at site 95. Being on a point it is windy. I had to roll up awning at 3 am one night. Neighbor's popup had the awning blow over the top. The point is rocky so we had trouble staking down a tent. There are not many trees, so shade is limited. Bathrooms & showers range from good to average. Some buildings are newer. Depends on where you are. If you're a boater, the docks are pretty easy to get in and out. They are not a maze like Keewaydin. There are some shoals when you leave Kring so its best to head straight out into the main channel. Keep to the right of the green marker in the channel and you are home free. Lake-of-the-isles is about 20 minutes away and Alex Bay is 15 minutes by boat.
  • Nice park. Single lane boat launch. Has docks for rent. Some campsites have electric hook-up, so do not. Very nice bathrooms
  • Really nice campground if you like peace and quiet, they have plenty of campsites that are somewhat secluded.
  • Gorgeous place for kayaking, jet skiing, boating- clear, crisp water - see all the way to the bottom!
  • Very nice and maintained state park. Small in size. Has an island accessible via pedestrian bridge.
