Came here for a wedding and it is a beautiful place to hold one. Catering was a buffet, which had ok food, but just the building itself is awesome. I wish they had more rooms about the history of San Mateo though.
Amazing place my family and I learned so much
Lots of interesting old baseball stories inside. I was surprised to learn so much about how important baseball was to the area.
I love that there's a local history museum right downtown. Prices are good and the info and displays offer insights into how Redwood City was settled and developed.
Visited on a free entry day (in celebration of the Lunar New Year). They had taichi, wushu and lion dance performance which was pretty cool. Back to the museum, it's small yet pack with tons of interesting facts and stories on San Mateo past. Insights on how cultural, diversity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that made San Mateo the city to live in! Good place to hang for 2-3hours either before or after a movie at the cinema across the street.
