Landmark Tourist Spot
The Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival story began in 1923 with the founding of the Redlands Community Music Association (RCMA) by a woman with a vision - Grace Stewart Mullen. Mrs. Mullen's vision was that "music is for everyone" therefore no admission is ever charged for a Redlands Bowl performance. The season includes symphonies, operas, dance programs, and a full-scale musical production. The Redlands Bowl also features a Young Artist competition where talented musicians from all over Southern California compete for a chance to perform on the Bowl stage. The Redlands Bowl is a treasured Southern California tradition.

  • If you want to disconnect after a day of work and the Californian warmth. It is a good place about 8 p.m. Friday, the San Bernardino Symphony is presented. Relaxed atmosphere and good music. You can not miss it!

  • Get here early, say an hour before the event, to ensure you get a good spot or not if you aren't picky. The lawn seats tend to fill up faster than the benches. Bring lots of picnic food or cash for concessions. Bring a blanket and or beach chairs for the lawn seats. Prepare to be amazed.
  • Chill relaxing plus it's summer so there will soon be plays and music
  • The voices carry nicely so You can hear what is being said.
  • This is a pretty cool amphitheater. They have a pretty good stage and sound system, but the seats are lacking. Be sure to bring your own padding. Each event I've seen here was very well done.
  • While Redlands Bowl is a host to so many events- arts, theatre, music, graduations- there really isn't much outside it being outside in a quiet part of Redlands. For an Amphitheater, the sound is horrible, even with some of the sound setups and few people/little noise. The seating is plentiful given it being tucked away. Not the most accommodating for those with disabilities. Beautiful spot though.
