Landmark Tourist Spot
The Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival story began in 1923 with the founding of the Redlands Community Music Association (RCMA) by a woman with a vision - Grace Stewart Mullen. Mrs. Mullen's vision was that "music is for everyone" therefore no admission is ever charged for a Redlands Bowl performance. The season includes symphonies, operas, dance programs, and a full-scale musical production. The Redlands Bowl also features a Young Artist competition where talented musicians from all over Southern California compete for a chance to perform on the Bowl stage. The Redlands Bowl is a treasured Southern California tradition.

  • The voices carry nicely so You can hear what is being said.
  • This is a pretty cool amphitheater. They have a pretty good stage and sound system, but the seats are lacking. Be sure to bring your own padding. Each event I've seen here was very well done.
  • While Redlands Bowl is a host to so many events- arts, theatre, music, graduations- there really isn't much outside it being outside in a quiet part of Redlands. For an Amphitheater, the sound is horrible, even with some of the sound setups and few people/little noise. The seating is plentiful given it being tucked away. Not the most accommodating for those with disabilities. Beautiful spot though.
  • The inscription on the top of the amphitheater is from proverbs 28:18 the holy bible it says "without vision people perish"
  • Awesome free concerts and shows in the summer. You can bring a picnic. Gives a sense of community and you should support them if you can.
