  • Someone stole my sons' fishing poles from a neighboring hotel, so I asked if my 12-yr-old and I could quickly walk the pier to see if the thief was using them there. Crusty codger's answer: "Not witho...  more »

  • One of my favourite places to watch the day disappear into the night. The further you walk up the pier the closer you are to hearing nothing but the sea, birds and the patient fishing rods. Highly appreciate the view.
  • Would give no stars if posdible. Well its definitely a fishing pier. Yes you will catch small fish. 2 in 2 hours. Pier is a bit run down/shabby. The problem was the pricing was not clear. For me and my daughter to fish with my wife and son as spectators, the cost was $104. I paid for parking, 1 adult, 1 child and 2 spectators. Warning this place takes only cash but they want to hold your credit card. I wasn't thinking so I obliged. Only for them to charge me an additional $75 deposit fee. When asked about it they said it will come off and if not I had to call my bank. So as of right now $179 for 2 to fish. So I want to kick my self, cause when I cuaght my 1st fish I realized all I had was bait, 2 poles rigged with a hook and sinker each. No tackle box or anything. The pliers I needed was $15. Still waiting on the deposit return.
  • Beautiful views and an amazing time. The pier host was very warm and made us feel like we're at home. My brother had ample space for his fishing gear and enjoyed his experience. I would recommend this pier to all my family and friends!
  • Paid my $5 to walk out on Pier and the Pier is in pathetic condition! Obvious that it is not being taken care of! City should condemn the Pier before someone gets seriously injured. No safety life preservers if anyone would go overboard on deteriorating Pier. The owner is just making quick fixes to only things he has to fix. Many many loose rotted boards with lots of nails sticking up. After city condemns Pier they should find another buyer to take the Pier over. This could be a beautiful land mark again as it once was! Not safe for children or adults!
  • TOURIST TRAP!!!! Please go to Johns Pass or anywhere else, -Ft Desoto, Park Blvd ramp, Blind Pass....Anywhere else please save your money. Way way way overpriced. If you are on vacation please please go elsewhere. I am ashamed to have to explain this location to people visiting our wonderful area. I hope the city buys this back somehow and makes it more community friendly.
