  • You HAVE to stop here. It's very easy to miss...don't make that mistake. This place wreaks of history and cool stuff.
  • Great state park with fabulous old buildings and ruins. California's Gold was filmed here.
  • Go see Dan Ide's blacksmith shop the first and third Saturday of every month. Amazing guy!
  • Beautiful old Shasta, be a tourist walk the old streets see the museum even check out where they used to hang people and lock people up. Some say it's haunted too. Often times people dressed In period clothing are said to be seen wondering the area. Creepy.
  • My family really enjoyed learning about how Shasta was such an important part of Northern California history. I didn't realize it was basically the most important city until the railroad bypassed Shasta in favor of Redding.
