Visited for a Friday night service, then stayed over for the Healing Rooms on Saturday Morning. They really know what they're doing, but it's not stiff. One of the first things I noticed was that it d... read more »
Well it was about a year ago and I was living in Colorado Springs. I have lived a horrific life and found myself in a healing room with High place ministries ran by Maryann. When I was in session they where playing Bethel's music. It immediately spoke to my heart in ways that nothing else in this World ever has. I went home and began downloading them off Utube. It was the true medication that my soul had longed for. One song lead me to just about everything Bethel Church and the Johnson's and Valltoons offered to the World! Their teachings and Worship was exactly what my heart has been searching for and despite the noise that the World made in regards to its skepticism I continued to keep my mind and heart open to them. My love for them was catching, soon my three year old little boy with Aspergers was hooked!! We played them in my room from sun rise to sun set! Singing and dancing with Holy Spirit and Bethel's amazing artists and leadership. My son dose not yet talk, but he knows the words and tune to almost every song we could find. Soon my husband who had struggled with many of his own demons was hooked himself! Lol For months I sat on my knees in front of my television screen. Letting this amazing establishment guide my heart and prayers, my repentance and condemnation from a lifetime of evil men and evil things that began to feel as if they would never stop. We learned to lean into Jesus Christ every day as a family together falling in love with the Lord more and more because of this leadership and guidance in our lives, right there in my bedroom. My life and my sons where forever changed and devoted to the beautiful messages they had chosen to send out to the World through what I consider to be a true miracle in this World, the Power of the Holy Spirit brought from the hearts of Bethel into the heart of my son myself and soon even my troubled husband. It was the courage and wisdom and power of the gospel of Christ that truly set us ALL free despite our horrific lives. It was not a difficult choice to make, we knew as a family that Reddings Bethel was exactly where we so desperately needed to be. It took months to figure out a plan that would solidify our choice to get to Redding. Having God on our side and the support of High place ministries and a loving little grandmother who to also saw Bethel as the best thing to happen to us and to the entire community and lives they touched. We ran to Redding with our son. Because of all the places and people that had hurt us and rejected us for a past we could not control in any way, trust has always been hard. While on our way to Redding we where accompanied by my mother in law, who to also gave us as much support as she could during this transition that would be a uphill battle the whole way! We have been in Redding now for a month. At first I was more scared they to would reject us for the lives we had been forced into living for so long and with very little relief. However God just kept speaking to our hearts and telling us not to give up! The Worship at this establishment was the best I had ever seen or witnessed with my eyes and Spirit. The anticipation of being apart of such an amazing place seemed almost to good to be true! I honestly did believe it was all just a dream that we would wake from and find ourselves feeling pushed away and not good enough for them. Those are the words of the enemy that whisper doubt and fear into our hearts as much as possible! Yet even though times of weakness came and I was not so certain that they would have concern or care or acceptance for my family and my past, the more our enemy tried the more Bethel had taught us to not listen! No matter what the past held. These amazing people did not see our past, they saw a family in need and pain. A family that had overcome so much dark in favor of their beautiful light!! I continued to go to the Worship with my husband and son. Each time being drawn in more and more! I am here to tell all women there is a family here with open arms and true love in their hearts waiting for you!
The most loving and real people on the planet! Miracles, healing, true prophetic words and super amazing worship time along with sound teaching and people living it out! I love it! Something like heaven on earth! For real!
The front looks like a star bucks, they sell you coffee and such before you can go in. (I was immediately reminded of Jesus throwing tables over and using a whip to drive out the heathens that turned the house of God into a shopping center) Maybe that's how they pay the bills? Alright I can over look that, feels very hipster to me though. Their "worship" is a concert. It's all about amusing themselves and has nothing to do with worship. Did God ask for a belly dancer on a stage? I did like the sermon though, but I felt very uncomfortable in that atmosphere.
I experienced Jesus in a more real tangible way than any other I've known. There really is something amazing happening here. I was healed of migraines I had more than 50 years. My shoulder was healed from the trauma of being dislocated from electrocution that occurred in 2008. No wonder people come from the farthest corners of the world just to taste the presence of God as they worship him together. I met people from so many places around the world I lost track of all the countries. Don't miss an opportunity to come here and experience God in an unusual and wonderful way.
Although it's a big church, they are active with trying to get people connected with each other. The sanctuary isn't large, maximum 1000 people, so it doesn't feel like a mega church. Kids ministry is great too, and they have a good system setup to help parents. It's quick and efficient to register. Worship is excellent. Their sound and tech teams are well practiced in their craft and it makes it easy for the worshipper to get to that place. A big church that isn't. :)
