Cosmos Mystery Area, Rapid City

(650+ reviews on the web)
Entertainment Center
Explore the mysteries of Cosmos Mystery Area, where water flows uphill and you can sit on a wall. The area was discovered by chance in 1952, and has drawn curious visitors ever since. On the tour, you can participate in the demonstrations of seemingly reversed gravity. The illusions created by the natural phenomenon known as gravity hill are most dramatic inside the on-site cabin. Note that the tour requires navigating forest paths that are not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Bring comfortable shoes for the walk. • This place was super cool. I recommend that you go there at least one in your life. It is so weird but I loved it. I would love it more if there was more to do than just visit the "hotspot" But our tour guide was supper friendly and funny.
  • Super cool place for the whole family! Our tour guy was very friendly & had a great sense of humor. I've never been anywhere like it in my life! I loved it, will be back for sure.
  • So much fun! Abby our tour guide rocked! Extremely mind blowing! And the geode cracking was kinda cool. Worth the money!
  • This was a fun and weird place. Some of the things can be explained by forced perspective, but there is also something I couldn't figure out. There was a small child who got a little freaked out by it, and this isn't a good idea for people with balance issues. Not wheelchair accessible.
  • Amazing experience with unusual phenomenon. Have gone twice now. Great place to take visitors to the Black Hills area.
