  • After a long day of sight seeing, this park was so peaceful and relaxing. Benches in the shade were available to sit on while our granddaughter was watching the ducks.  more »

  • I've lived in several states and a number of towns and cities, and Canyon Lake Park is one of the most beautiful parks I've ever experienced. It is large, well manicured, and never too crowded. The lake is gorgeous, and it's so calming to walk around it, watching the wildlife and kayakers. There is always enough parking, and people watching is great. If you ever need to escape from others and enjoy the glory of nature, even for just ten minutes, this is the place to do it in Rapid City.
  • One of the best public / city parks in the country. Great family venue for picnics, fishing (stream, ponds, lake, ice fishing; trout), bicycling, roller-blading, yard activities (croquet, bocci ball, volleyball, hillbilly golf, water fun [creek and lake tubing], etc. Multiple shelters with grills that need to be reserved, and are great for birthdays and group events. There's also a wedding gazebo area with a fantastic view. Lots of parking and wide concrete sidewalks for walking. Whew! . . . that's a lot!
  • His place is amazing, peaceful, and romantic if u r going on a date lol. I recommend you come here and see what I saw.
  • Awesome part. The lake is great for kayaking, which is why I was here. There's a lit path all around, a dock and a place to back into the lake with a vehicle. The spillway is great and I see people fishing all the time. There's also places to grill and tons of open area to fun around.
  • Beautiful park that I really enjoy walking around at. The lake is crystal clear and the scenery is beautiful. I would recommend checking it out at sunset or for a walk in the evening
