Where to stay in Rapid City

In Rapid City you'll find a variety of hotels and motels, but you can expect their rates to vary considerably depending on the season. Those located downtown provide easy walking access to some of the area's most popular restaurants and bars. Visitors wanting to explore the iconic Mount Rushmore or Custer State Park attractions may prefer the convenience of a hotel along Interstate 90. If you want a scenic escape, look for a bed and breakfast, campsite, or cabin in the surrounding Black Hills National Forest.

  • Took my nine year old daughter and I an hour to get through. It was so much fun. I used to go to the maze when I lived in the area as a kid and I was so excited to return with my daughter. She had fun...  more »
  • Plan for about an hour to two hours. This attraction was a great activity to keep the kids active and let the adults have fun. It is challenging but definitely worth it. My kids wanted to go back to t...  more »

  • My wife and I visited this 20yrs ago and now that we have a 13yr old and 10 yr old we decided to hit it again on our South Dakota vacation. I feel like the price is on the high side but there isn't another one that I know of. It was really fun and took up a good hour if you take time to have fun and enjoy it. The staff were great and it is showing its age with the faded planks. Worth a visit.
  • The maze was great! The people not so much! I didn't cheat anywhere or anything. And I got 14 minutes (their fastest is 21 minutes) I brought my card in and the guys said I must have climbed under and that nobody can get that fast unless they know the maze already But then I was reading the back of the card and it says no running. And I was running for sure. So I guess I did that but I didn't crawl under anything.
  • The maze was fun but when my cousin and i cane in with the two fastest times without cheating the people at the front desk told us its not possible to get that time without climbing under
  • Pretty awesome, but don't go during a nation wide, record setting heat wave, just saying. Hail hydrate.
  • I loved the experice there with my family and activities that made them moving
