  • *** CLOSED *** Saddleback shut down in 2015 and is now defunct. No word has come out of ownership since last fall and many think the Mountain will never open again. The area is a ghost town and the Lodge is locked tight.

  • This is not the place to go especially if you snowboard. I now understand why it was so much cheaper than sugarloaf. The lifts suck and one lift is a t lift that's designed for skiers. Not a very pleasant way up for a snowboarder, as the thing digs into your leg the whole way up. When you do finally get up the mountain, there are very few signs of where your gong and difficulty levels of those trails. There Customer service was unsatisfactory. After falling off the difficult t lift and no other lifts to use because of weather it would have been nice to get a partial refund. They could only give me a half day ticket that expires soon and only in my name. When I explained I'm not going to be able to use it in that time frame, it was too bad for me and threats of being arrested if I tried to sell it to someone. Will not be coming here again.
  • Great mountain, great people, lots of snow, not so bad pricing, good lessons. Great coffee, lots of runs, good snow, helpful rental people, lift attendants in good humor, people generally having a good time.
  • I like Saddleback for its informality, and its spacious slopes for beginners.
