I had the best time at Watermelon Days at the Oasis Camel Dairy. This is really a hidden gem in San Diego County (Ramona); great for both adults and kids (about 3 and up, I'd think). You can tell that... more »

Only on specific days , camel shows available on purchase of entry tickets. You can feed camels with carrots and also enjoy camel rides. It is like seeing an holly wood movie. A part from , other birds and animals keep your spirits high and enthusiastic.

They tried hard & feeding the camels was fun. Private viewing was nice but disappointed it was extra $150 to ride a camel..

This place is great for a family outing. They have camels, turkeys, exotic birds and goats. They also have a gift shop. Nice for a Sunday fun day.

A MUST SEE! Discovered this place years ago and always look forward to returning! Nine miles east of Ramona on Hwy. 78. Great educational, fun trip for ages 3 and up. Reasonable admission prices; camel rides extra. Bring cash (easiest); credit cards accepted in the gift shop. Tours, camel rides, petting farm, exhibits, & animal show that the animals enjoy performing. 20 dromedary camels (friendly and cuddly), parrots, babydoll sheep, miniature donkeys, horses, herding farm dogs, meandering chickens, and racing turkeys (funny!) Presentations are educational, then feed, pet and interact with the animals. Kids love this place! I saw so many happy faces. My grandson and I took a memorable camel ride. Small gift shop offers rare camel hair yarn skeins, knit caps, a variety of gift items, and my favorite- RARE MILK Camel Milk Skincare. Made with all natural and organic camel milk, there are lotions, soaps, bath bombs and more. This esthetician's favorite is the lotion with frankincense and myrrh. I highly recommend the Oasis Camel Dairy and the products they sell. Ice cold water and chips available. REAL (professionally trained) service dogs only. All other dogs (even emotional support pets) will not do well on this farm as the animals that live on this farm need to have their personal space and territory respected. Temperatures are high in this area, so please leave your dogs in the comfort if their own home, or in your air conditioned RV.
