The event itself was amazing and spectacular with the beautiful Taraji P Henson as the guest speaker. However, I'm here to review PNC Arena. The arena is easy to get to and has several areas to get in...  more »

Whether you're in the mood for hockey, basketball, concerts or everything in between, you'll find it at PNC arena. Once the roads and area infrastructure was finished, it became an easy access facilit...  more »

Went to PNC Arena for the NKOTB concert and I enjoyed the place, not dissimilar to other arenas. The sound wasn't too bad, it was a clean place, had lots of beer/food places to choose from. The only d...  more »

Good place to watch a hockey game. Easy to manage the parking lot, park, and leave too. Very well organized. Concession and parking prices are high as to be expected, but tickets to games are so cheap it really isn't a big deal.

Nice arena to see a concert or a hockey game. Be aware though if you are taller and have line legs, the seats can be a bit tight. Concessions are on the higher side price wise, but not bad. Parking is still a bit expensive after all these years, which doesn't make any sense to me. It is fairly easy to get out afterwards though.

Generally a good place to see a show or a game. Parking ($20) is outrageous. No wonder you can pay for parking with a credit card now! They have a reasonably good handle on traffic management. I appreciated that I was able to exit and re-enter to get something left in my car.

PNC Arena is a state of the art facility. I have been to this facility numerous times in the past and I am never disappointed by the arena itself. Parking is close, cheap and traffic flow is bearable. Getting into the arena is a breeze, security is efficient and quick. The food is good, (highly recommend BBQ Nachos) and the overall service of staff is great! The only poor aspect of PNC is that their tenants do not win! I can not wait for my next visit to PNC Arena!

Fairly good at directing traffic and providing instructions. I'm not a fan of the security check-ins but hey, safety first! Especially nowadays... I've enjoyed all the events I've attended here, but be prepared for traffic! Factor in at least an extra 15-20 min just for parking and checking in whenever you attend an event here.

Where to stay in Raleigh

Staying downtown provides the most convenient access to Raleigh's leading attractions. You'll find a couple of large, efficient hotels here--they feature a large volume of beds. The area around the North Campus of North Carolina State University lies just west of downtown and features a handful of additional hotels. A cluster of national chain hotels and motels lies in the midtown area north of downtown. There are a couple of bus lines that provide easy access to downtown from here, so this area serves as a suitable option if you cannot find accommodation in the city center. The intersection of I-440 and Route 70 to the northwest of downtown features numerous hotels and motels, but these largely cater to business travelers who require convenient access to both downtown and the airport.
