  • I did a three mile walk on the trail and although it is very spacious, well kept, and feels safe, it is has little tree coverage or several sections. In June this made it a pretty intense and hot...

  • Beautiful trail along a river. Impressed by the infrastructure for cycling including bridges and overpasses for highways.

  • This part of the trail was accessed from Poole Road Park. There wasn't much to see along the walking trail, but river side provided a much more interesting adventure. I was told the water level was lower then some weeks back, so I'm not sure how long it starts this way. The lower water exposed big rocks that one could walk along. It was great for pictures. Also nice for sitting on the rocks and relaxing amongst the soothing sound of the rushing water. A perfect spot for the kids to play for a few hours.
  • We're on a biking vacation and spending time searching out these bike green ways. what a beautiful trail this is, clean, NO road crossings and well used throughout neighborhoods is runs through. We'll be back to explore spur trails off the Neuse. Helmets off to those who maintain this great trail.
  • Our teens and I went for an 18-mile ride in March. The trail is flat and easy, great for exercise or a family outing. People along the trail waved at us as we rode by, making it the friendliest bike trail we have ever encountered. It was a beautiful day, but everything was dormant so there wasn't much to see. We saw a few birds, but had hoped to see more wildlife. Wildflowers were few and far between. From some vents, there is a sewer smell, and the river looks dirty. I wouldn't get into the water myself.
  • Beautiful and serene trail where you can bike or walk for miles!
  • Very clean, nice level easy walk, light bike traffic, some benches, spring greens & smells out, morning shade.. Mile Marker 13 3/4- to-11 1/2 (head north & return) step count = 9900 time = 80 minutes ..go check it out & enjoy..
