  • Don't bother wasting your time on this tiny boring museum. I didn't learn one thing about the history of Raleigh. A shame.
  • Small and quaint but worth the trip. The staff is informative and friendly. Even though I attended NCSU, I still learned a few things here. Hope you make it soon!!
  • Though I haven't been recently, I remember the exhibit, only a portion, of the history of WRAL, a local radio/television station. It was great! Another small exhibit, believe it or not, was an old pod...  read more »
  • What a great museum with a variety of exhibits. A visit to COR will give you a good look into Raleigh's past and present. Make sure to look at the model of downtown Raleigh. Staff are friendly too.
  • First of all it free! And a wonderful experience for children.
  • Very interesting building. Great history.
  • The artifacts and the creative way that they integrated history and maintaining and preserving gentle pieces of our past was great. The layout and sense of ease that the flow of the place gives you is fantastic.
  • I like Raleigh, and history, but this place is boring. It's fun when they have parties on first Friday, though. Edit: after 4 years, nothing here is new, it's still boring, and the artifacts and descriptions are ambiguous. There is some important information about the civil rights movement which started in Greensboro and spread to Raleigh. There is also a gun from the USS Raleigh. There is also a scale architects' model of the downtown blocks that is interesting to see. The museum is free and can been seen in its entirety in under 15 mins. Worth a stop, but don't go out of your way.
