  • Interesting ecology of this natural wildlife refuge. We did not have our binoculars with us so will definitely Make sure we have them on our next visit in November, 2016.
  • Great Evening Hike! Do it at least once! Fun! Interesting activities! Bring the kids! Nice stroll through the woods with a full moon guiding you!
  • So many things to see - use the binoculars in the center to spot the turtles - walk on the dock - hike the trails - love, love, love it.

  • I love the wildlife refuge. You can visit the rescued animals at the outdoor enclosures or get up close at their educational demonstrations
  • One of my favorite places to take my children, they love the animals and running on the trails. And we always have fun finding the snapping turtle on the main path bridge.
  • Our whole family loves to walk here and the staff is wonderful.
  • Beautiful nature reserve with a injured animals from across Long Island and a historic nature center.
  • So peaceful and pretty. The running trails are shady, easy on the knees, and uncrowded.
