  • This was the second time going and we will not be back. The lines to check in are ridiculous and frustrating. There is no guidance and you cannot check in until 5:00 pm. Then you have to go back and w...  more »

  • I do love parks that are deep in the woods, especially in the fall when the trees start changing colors. This park use to be called Storytown and is over 50 years old. Lots of fantastic classic story ...  more »

  • A very great place for a vacation. And the employees are great. We went for multiple days, and a few of them remembered our kids from day to day (not sure how they can do that). And they have an accessibility pass for disabled visitors that is really helpful to those that need it (requires a letter from a doctor, see their faq on their website)
  • I had a great time with my grandchildren. I had planned on getting souvenirs when we left the park. Not get them and have to carry them around. As the park was closing so we're all the stores. It would be nice if the stores should stay open for at least 1/2 an hour after closing to give people time to get something.
  • Not as many large roller coasters as Great Adventure in NJ but very kid friendly. Plenty of rides for our 3 year old. The baby center was fabulous. It offered an air conditioned room to change and feed our 2 mo old baby. It even had rockers inside the stalls! A great place to spend half a day. It's open noon to 6 pm in the off season.
  • It’s a pretty fun place, but it is also very expensive. Unless you have a Gold Season Pass, you have to pay $20-30 for parking alone. And then there’s the $60 you pay to get into the actual park... And then there’s the fact that: To feed a family of four, it’ll cost you around $40-60. It’s a fun park, and the lines aren’t too bad most of the time, but it’ll only be good for you if you have about $200 readily available, or if you have a Season Pass which ranges from about $100-200 normally... I’m not even going to go into the security restrictions...
  • I really like this park, it's not huge but it has some unique rides and features. It's situated mostly in the woods so there is some natural shade, and since it is in the mountains it is not flat but a bit hilly. The park is divided into several themed areas. The highlight is at the rear of the park, the historic wood coaster called the Comet. This originally ran in Canada and when that park closed, the coaster was thankfully taken apart and stored before being installed at Great Escape. This is a fun coaster with a great history. Currently the other coasters include a boomerang Flashback, which goes forward then backwards through a loop and set of inversions, Alpine Bobsled which is an unusual free wheeling type of ride where the vehicle goes through a trough rather than on a track, Canyon Blaster which is a non inversion mine train, Steamin' Demon at the front of the park which has a loop and corkscrew inversions, and Frankie's Mine Train which is a kiddie coaster. Other rides of note are the train which has some historic signs and figures, the swan boats, the log flume, the Blizzard indoor Scrambler with air conditioning, the Condor, and a few others. Several rides have been relocated from other parks and continue to run well. The water park is included in admission and is divided sort of in half, with the wave pool and some slides to the left of the path close to the Comet and the rest up to the right, with more slides, lazy river and children's play area. The park does a Halloween event. This is a nice park with a nice selection of rides but if you are expecting coasters coasters coasters, you might want to go to one of the larger SF parks like Great Adventure or New England, as this is not the same type of place. If you want to spend the day riding some nice rides in a more family atmosphere, that has been my experience here. We have not been there on super busy summer days so I am sure it does get busy like anywhere else. It's a fun place, my experience has always been good.
