  • Very large and extensive center. They often have events that you can spend all day at and still feel like you want to go back again. Much of it is outside, so dress accordingly.
  • Staff truly cares. Very large enclosures for the birds. If you go at feeding time (or anytime 30 minutes after) you'll learn a lot and get to see the raptors enjoy their snacks. Would love to visit more often if I lived in the area.
  • Not enough parking had to park out onto Route 4, not good idea with small children or the disabled/handicap. Had one officer directing traffic going North. Not organized at all. They had arts & crafts for the children and there was nothing available for them to do and this was at 12 noon.... There was a show going on with the owls/birds and the one women had a mic and you could not hear a word she was saying. This place could be great for children/ Schools with improvements. I would not pay the price you ask for an adult or child under these conditions....
  • They have a lot of variety of birds of prey. They rehabilitate injured and sick birds and if they are able to these birds are released back into the wild. They also have a common area where they have educational shows and answer any questions you may have. They have a building for younger children to go. VINS has a couple nature trails that people can use. I would definitely recommend this place.
  • An excellent exhibit of native birds rescued from human harm. Knowlegable staff with great presentations.
