  • Reading the reviews from out-of-towners about the Q-Mart gave me a good laugh. Sure, it's the 'Quakertown Farmer's Market', but don't show up here looking for some sort of west coast organic culture nonsense. It's a local institution, and has been for half a century. Can you think of any other place where you can get Jo-Jo potatoes and a gyro for lunch, race slot cars, purchase locally produced meats and produce, find vintage video games, visit an 'As Seen On TV' store, and watch a lively crowd all under one roof? Sure, it's dirty. Some of the people there are slovenly. The bathrooms are begrimed. Who cares? On the whole, this place is a study of a more simplistic time, with local flavor that isn't arrogant. Accept it for what it is, and move on. I, for one, am glad that some things never change.
  • Excellent fresh meats, poultry and produce. The outdoor flea market is setup nicely and like any other flea market the selection is graded purely on opinion. Found a couple cool deals and the wife grabbed a nice antique. While the bathrooms aren't something I would want to poop in, they do the job for a quick peepee. Parking is abundant and most of the people are very friendly What you wanna-be hipsters should do is take yourself and your iPad and find something that's more suited to you fraudulent needs. Its a damn flea market with some awesome vendors selling fresh product. Instead of paying your student loan in the arts this month, take that money and go ass wild in a Whole Foods! Your type isn't really wanted in the Q-Mart anyways.
  • A great place with a lot to offer. The fresh seafood shop is well worth the trip. Clams were excellent. The DVD and vintage video game shop is really amazing. I spend an hour in there each time I go. All sorts of movies, and lots of them have special features that are not on other DVDs. The pet store is pretty cool too. If you are looking for something to do on a weekend, check out this place. It is well worth a few hours of walking around. It is one of the few things still left of the old Quakertown.
  • This is a great place for locals. Not so much of a local produce spot but more of giant yardsale place. As for all the below comments about the alligator, it was taken to a bigger area. There is absolutely NO animal cruelty there. And people should realize that relocating an alligator doesn't happen over night, nor was it at the booth 24/7 Overall a great place to spend the day as a family in a non traditional market.
  • So this is a matter of Yin and Yang (Good with the Bad)... There are some really great stops in the Q-Mart, Frederick's Meats, The Bakeries, a few Furniture stores, and the Produce stands all with good deals and quality products. The opposite are the junk vendors selling imported cheap knick-knacks, the filthy vacuum supply store, and the various other booths selling knives, cheap jewelry, etc. A true Dichotomy of Flea Market but with walls.
