Nockamixon State Park is a Pennsylvania state park on in Bedminster and Haycock Townships in northern Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. The park is one of the most popular in southeastern Pennsylvania, with most tourists visiting in the summer months.RecreationLake NockamixonLake Nockamixon is an artificial reservoir formed by a dam on Tohickon Creek and serves as the centerpiece of Nockamixon State Park. Swimming is not allowed in the lake, but boating is popular, and the park maintains several marinas and boat rentals. Fishing is also popular, and common species include walleye, pickerel, carp, and various kinds of bass and catfish. The water is clean and blue and has a very faint current, since the lake is part of the course of Tohickon Creek, which feeds in midway along the northwestern edge of the lake and discharges at the dam at the southeast corner. Lake Nockamixon is also fed by two other creeks known as Haycock Run, which feeds in at the northernmost point, and Three Mile Run, which feeds in at the southernmost point.

  • I love coming her with the kids and enjoying a day at the pool. This pool is great fun for everyone. They even have a cute snack shop but the service is a little slow there.  more »

  • Our party of three decided to venture into Lake Nockamixon state park. What a delightful experience. It is very large, clean well kept and enough of things to do that you could not get bored. Even the...  more »
  • Fantastic place to explore via kayak. I avoid the middle of the middle (if that makes sense) due to larger watercraft and wind creating chop. Kayak rental place was very reasonable prior to us buying our own. There's another place not far past that will rent to you (and deliver I think) if the other is closed or you want to explore different parts. Sometimes they rent out the lot nearest the rental place to host events though.
  • Although I love this lake, it seems to have been leaning towards a boating lake. It's never been a problem before, but the recent influx of kayakers had taken over. I have a boat, but when going fishing with small children, it isn't always the best option. Fishing from the shore has become a hassle when these small watercraft can dock anywhere. Oblivious to your presence, they will row across your line and beach their craft within feet if you. There is very limited shoreline from which to fish. I do not fault all these people as I'm sure they don't realize the effect they have. (You know... The same people you see on the road everyday). They deserve to use the lake as much as other people and it's great exercise. I wish the park would provide more spaces for the shore "dwellers".. That were "small watercraft" free, to help eliminate congestion. A few fishing piers would be an excellent addition to this lake.
  • The state park is beautiful and have 3 4 trails alongside the lake. You can also enjoy boating rentals but it closes at 6 and the last rental is at 5pm. Carry snacks alongwith you because there are no eating places nearby. Overall good place to spend 4 5 hours.
  • My favorite state park. It has boating rentals, kayaks, paddlers. Lots and lots of picnic benches and barbeque places. A swimming pool (paid) and a playground. Can spend the whole day there. A very relaxing and calm place.
  • The state park is always clean. There a lot of things to do. There are tons of grills there is sufficient parking there is a late there is a pool there are hiking trails there are biking trails. And there is sufficient security presence.
