The park is one of the most popular in southeastern Pennsylvania, with most tourists visiting in the summer months.RecreationLake NockamixonLake Nockamixon is an artificial reservoir formed by a dam on Tohickon Creek and serves as the centerpiece of Nockamixon State Park. Swimming is not allowed in the lake, but boating is popular, and the park maintains several marinas and boat rentals. Fishing is also popular, and common species include walleye, pickerel, carp, and various kinds of bass and catfish. • Kayaking is not necessarily called for on a 53 degree day with 18 mph wind. But. It was still great to be here. Great setting and well organized. One of my go to kayaking state parks.  more »

  • These cabins are like hotels in the woods. Comfortably fit several grown men. Extremely spacious with all the amenities one can expect from a cabin in a state park. We went on a weekend where it was 2 degrees outside and I slept in my boxers with a light blanket, so that in itself should say plenty about how warm the place is. Will return. Also great mountain biking about 2 miles up the road. Don't recommend it in the winter, though.
  • Large mixed use state park. You can do a large variety of outdoor activities here, although some are limited to certain areas within the park. Check the website for updated information beforehand. Large network of dog friendly hiking trails around most of the park. However, it would be good to consider wearing blaze orange, as some most of the trails boarder hunting areas.
  • Our family enjoys Nockamixon State Park. We go out on our pontoon boat. The boat ramp is easy to use. The pool is beautiful. I feel that this state park has a lot to offer. It can be exciting and active (biking, disc golf) or relaxing (kayaking out on the lake). Go choose your adventures!!
  • Wonderful place to experience the outdoors. Bike riding or hiking is very enjoyable. Very fortunate to have access to such a great park.
  • Best place to take your family for hiking, picnics, and fishing. Has such beauty for each season. It's our weekend activity and it's Free!
