Nockamixon State Park is a Pennsylvania state park on in Bedminster and Haycock Townships in northern Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. The park is one of the most popular in southeastern Pennsylvania, with most tourists visiting in the summer months.RecreationLake NockamixonLake Nockamixon is an artificial reservoir formed by a dam on Tohickon Creek and serves as the centerpiece of Nockamixon State Park. Swimming is not allowed in the lake, but boating is popular, and the park maintains several marinas and boat rentals. Fishing is also popular, and common species include walleye, pickerel, carp, and various kinds of bass and catfish. The water is clean and blue and has a very faint current, since the lake is part of the course of Tohickon Creek, which feeds in midway along the northwestern edge of the lake and discharges at the dam at the southeast corner. Lake Nockamixon is also fed by two other creeks known as Haycock Run, which feeds in at the northernmost point, and Three Mile Run, which feeds in at the southernmost point. To visit Nockamixon State Park on your holiday in Quakertown, and find out what else Quakertown has to offer, use our Quakertown travel itinerary planner.

We are so fortunate to live close to such an awesome park. There's boating, fishing, running and walking trails. The pool in the summer is a wonderful place to spend a hot day and cool off more »
there are different areas to drive to to sit by the lake. the boat ramps and canoe launch sites are peaceful and safe. i have never seen it crowded, even on holidays. more »
Extremely well maintained and fun biking trails that are really flowy. Nice breeze off the water kept it cool. Will definitely be going back.
This park has something for everyone! Boating, biking, hiking and picnicking to name a few. There is a 20hp limit for motorboats, so this is a Mecca for paddlers. The lake is about 8 or 9 miles long, but it has many small coves and inlets along the shore. No matter how full the parking lot appears, the folks spread out and you can paddle in near solitude if that is your desire. Near the marina there are often a dozen or more sailboats of every size and description. There are 4 major boat launching areas covering most of the lake. Along one shore there is an extensive mountain biking trail network. Not a lot of elevation changes, but there are certainly sections that are technically demanding. The trails are usually densely populated with local bikers, so be careful! Those same trails are used by hikers. I know there is an extensive network of horseback riding only trails too, but I've never been on them. By all means stop at Owowcow Creamery at the northeast end of the lake after your day of activity. Great locally sourced homemade ice cream with unique flavors.
Great park! I generally use it for mountain biking because there are 10 miles of maintained trails. Great lake for kayaking also! It has many coves with a decent amount of wild life for excitement. As a child I spent many weekends at their pool. Very clean and beautiful. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to hike, bike, or yak
We had an amazing time sailing. They have plenty of restrooms, picnic areas and shade where you can hide. I heard great things about their cottages with full kitchens, but we didn't actually spend time there. The marina is well organized and there are at least three boat launches to choose from.
Love the scenery a bit tranquility. Beautiful place to spend and afternoon picnicking or fishing.
