  • My family and I visited Harper's Ferry Adventure Center in early October 2016. We had a lovely day riding class 1-3 rapids on about 2.5 feet of water in the Shenandoah River. The views were spectacula...  read more »
  • We had a blast. Staff is friendly and knowleageable. Both the rope course and Zip-linning are thrilling! The center' s amenities are really good. We will be back for a repeat very soon!:)
  • I went with my boyfriend and we first did the Segway tour with Scott and Jeff. These 2 guys were loads of fun and made sure we were safe at all times! It was an "off road" experience which was amazing...  read more »
  • I have tubbed here with large groups of friends for a few years now, but this is the first time some of us came down the day before and camped out. We also stayed the night after tubbing which was great since we did not have to drive home after a long day in the river in the sun. Despite how crowded the adventure center gets on summer weekends for water activities the camping was very relaxed and not crowded at all. Each site has a fire pit as well as an actual standing grill. The staff was helpful when we called to figure out our reservation (we needed one site Friday night but two camp sites Saturday night and they still got them next to each other for us). It is also very convenient that you can get ice, beer, and snacks at the gas station just at the ended of their drive way.
  • I went camping here, and the campsites were really nice, if annoying to get to. However, people get rowdy here, and the staff won't throw them out unless you complain. Perhaps that is an unwritten rule of camping, but this is not the right campground for a family experience. If you don't mind a more festive atmosphere, you are all set. I had a great experience here.
  • We did the white water tubing. Got there early per other reviews and were one of the first groups out. Could have been related to water levels, but the currents were very weak. We were not moving about as much as we were. If you're looking for a chill tubing experience, this would probably be great for you. As they have flat water tubing (which is something else), I expected more of thrill in white water tubing. We got out at the exit point and made our way back to the starting area in a truck. By this time it had gotten extremely crowded and there was a huge line for a second trip. It wasn't worth it to us to stand in that line for that level of thrill. So we ended our day there. Facilities were decent and the rope course looked neat. Staff was friendly. Just not the level of excitement I was hoping for. It would probably be good for folks seeking a chill tubing experience in the sun.
  • The place to go for tubing. Their current location is great since you come out of the river in their property. They also have a ropes course and some simple food options. "White water" tubing is on the Potomac and involves some little bumps. Flat water is on the Shenandoah and is basically a lazy river.
  • Zip lining was great! Erin and Andrew were fantastic guides. I felt safe even while traveling over the 470 ft section.
